A year ago, today...

This blog was born out of a need to keep in touch as Amin and I made our way to Malaysia for his wedding...
It served its purpose really good, then. And I was so sure I would end the blog's brief tally. But my kids and Pah loved it, and of course, I did, too, but me, a blogger? Well....some hits later...
And I learned a bit of blogging skills, too..

And people visited it once a while. Family, some mine, but more from Pah's side, and friends, some new, some we had known much earlier... so we made new contacts and reignited old ones...

Cemerlang!

Nephews Faiz and Imran received school honors this past weekend, for their academic performance in the previous school year. They received cash, a certificate and a complimentary file each for being among the best students in their respective form. Here's Imran receiving the awards on behalf of his brother. He went up the stage again for his own prize.

We were at the BJC for the 4th of July fireworks display..

It had rained a bit..

But the pyrotechniques were spectacular.. and loud!

Just in Time

Earlier this week, Pah made some cupcakes to celebrate Aishah's Birthday. We were going to their place for the 4th of July fireworks show, and the cupcakes made a great show, as well.
