Finally the swatch-mercedes car is coming to the USA, in 2008. The US version will have a bigger engine (1.0 liter) amid a redesigned body and chassis to meet federal DOT requirements. The eight foot, eight inch long thing gets 40 miles to the gallon, and at a top speed of 90 mph, one will be hard-pressed to get speeding tickets.
