Some Good Belated Pics...

I have today some good pics to share..

Amin emailed this pic today. It is of Bro Fuad and his boys, posing with Amin and Aishah. Fine family with huge potential. Cool guys, if you ask me... Can't wait for my kids to tangle with them..

The next is of Amin and Aishah captured in the lawn at Waupelani. It's a sneak shot that tells you everything about them.

Then that's me giving the groom's daddy's speech. Nobody listened.. haha...

Of course, this is a really nice one of Amin, Aishah and two of his brothers, Hamzah and Muhsin. Loved the color scheme...

Finally, the Raya 2006 State College pic to be sent to malaysia, maybe to Utusan, too..

Thursday the 21st

For some reason, I look forward to this day. My morning classes, the meeting with Dean Todd, the decision not to teach next summer, DT Center,

and home for the first Ramadhan weekend are all causes for my eagerness. So, if the day works out in my favor, I will have a really good stretch of living to do the next four days. Mostly, with my family, of course...

Wasil might not have a game today. The other school is on strike for better teacher's wages and work conditions. So, either they play a scratch team or they just chill in practice. Either way, it's a good break for Wasil. He seemed a bit tired lately.

The HB Center

I finally got to the HB Center without getting lost or stuck in traffic. Arrived a good 40 minutes before time, and felt good about it. I had my camera with me, so I took some pics from my vantage point -- my desk.
The zoom did all the work...

DReamWeaver

Luqman discovered the loom we bought at Trader Horn. Timing was bad -- it was while getting ready to go to school. But he managed to finish a piece. He's the man when it comes to hand crafted toys. A real Do it Yourselfer...

The Call

The call came late, at 2:25 on Monday afternoon, equivalent to 2:25 Tuesday morning in Malaysia. Suzana is in a dilemma over her '07 sabbatical. She is still waiting for IUP to call her up. So her request was for me to get things running for her. I told her the target should be the English dept chair and not the ISO, English Graduate or Grad school, and that the secretaries should be able to help her most. On my part, I'd try to get in touch with the chair or dep chair. Told her to email me if she'd made progress.

That's as much as I could do.

Sunday with Travis, Monday with Ester Sue

My buddy, Travis..

Well, Travis and I sat at the picnic table for some time on Sunday evening. We talked about work, Indiana and future plans. He's looking for better working conditions and better pay scale. I am with him on both counts.

The next day, he was getting Ester Sue to wise up on her bathroom manners, and had her on a leash.

Giddy up, Ester!

Well, Travis called it a harness.

No matter.

Ester Sue was mad!

Mad, mad, mad.. She stayed put, refused to budge or go potty.

Only much later would Ester Sue relent. Travis was relieved. He loved dogs. All five of them.

Birthday

Yes, yesterday was the busiest day for a birthday anyone could have. After Pah wished me happy returns of the day, I was gone at 9:00 am, and back at 10:20 pm, before she and the kids could light up the candles on the cake. They sang the song, and Muhsin blew the candles out for me, How nice of him...

I received homemade cards from Luqman, Hamzah and Hana.

Hamzah also made a book, with a story on him fishing. Funny story, funny guy.

Also a hug from Hana. She wants me to tell Sang Kancil stories. Maybe someday..

My CCAC students also wished upon me good tidings. The morning class sang me up. The evening class talked abit about it, too. Lukas asked me if I'd bought that sports car yet. I told the class that actually, I bought the Subaru, and that I'd be driving it for a few years to come. I like them, and my family, a lot. They make my days a little bit easier.
But I was sleepy even as we ate the cake last night. I am glad that today, my class begins at six pm. And I am a day older.

Sunday Mowing, LJS Lunch, Pond Rehab, Trash, and Travis

We never made it to Downtown. Once I opened the shed, and took out the mower, that's it. The mower moves me...

Hana harvesting the sunflower seeds..

Pah began the task of cleaning the fishy pondy...

Fishy looking fishies in fishy bucket..

Then some pics of the lawn, and the yard, from the vantage point offered by Martha's house. A birdseye view...

My vehicles...

Some nice bontot shots of my three vehicles, together for the last time until maybe Raya...

We also found some grapes down the slope by Philly St...

Hana and her Kak Cah with the handpicked grapes...

And then, we went to LJS..

All on me, on account of the outsatnding PSSA results,

And of course, celebrating Amin and Aishah's visit.

A good meal,

..but some bad bell ringing make people look. And that's not the way to go. Amin and Aishah left with the Focus to SC, and we left for 1637 from LJS.

Continued the fish pond rehab with Wasil, Luqman, Hana and Hamzah.
They have to know how, the right way. And they did.. but yes, it was all hard work.

Heave ho!

Wasil cinging...

By four, all are in the house for a rest. I took Subie out for his first full tank. It was at the LJS Exxon@2.45 a gal. Didn't matter where; It was 2.45 everywhere in Indiana, BTW. Not 2.39 like at Snappy's...

And there is still some sun as I am writing all these down..

So we decided to recycle some trash. Hana and Pah did the most; I just blog what they do... :)

Smile! For a job well done!

Later that nite, I saw Travis outside his house. Invited him for a chat at the picnic table. He's trying to get another trucking job. He'll find one he likes...
